Questionmark Observational Assessments Measure Skills and Abilities
Mobile devices can be used to record observations and rate performance on the job
Norwalk, CT – December 21, 2010 – Assessment technology provider Questionmark has announced the addition of a mechanism for administering observational assessments using theQuestionmark™ Perception™ assessment management system.
During an observational assessment, often administered in the workplace, an observer watches a participant perform certain tasks or processes, answers questions about the participant’s performance and rates his or her performance according to pre-determined criteria.
A manager, trainer, instructor or other individual assigned to be an observer can now log in to the Questionmark Perception assessment management system, choose an assessment and select the participant to be observed and rated. The observer’s’ response are automatically saved to a central repository for instant scoring and streamlined reporting.
Typical applications of observational assessments include having a driving instructor rate a pupil on pre-selected tasks such as parking, observation and awareness; monitoring behavioral changes in the workplace before and after a training program; and evaluating how well floor sales people and customer service representatives cope with different situations.
In many cases, observational assessments are conducted in situations that require mobility. Questionmark’s mobile delivery features and Apps for Apple and Android devices give observers the option of conducting these assessments wherever they like, without access to a computer. Questionmark’s Coaching Report can be used to share results and feedback from Observational Assessments with stakeholders.
