Course Overview

This is a comprehensive, hands-on course that covers all four phases of the Perception assessment process. This course enables participants to effectively use the major components and features of the Perception Assessment Management System. Participants will learn to:

  • Author assessments using Perception Authoring Manager
  • Create participants and schedule those participants to take assessments using Perception Enterprise Manager
  • Specify assessment delivery mode and behavior using Perception Authoring Manager
  • Generate reports based on assessment results using Perception Enterprise Reporter

What is Included?

Questionmark Perception TrainingWhen you attend this course, we recommend that you bring with you some tests and assessments to enter into the system. This will make your training more satisfying and actually get some work done! Bringing electronic media (word processing files, sound and video files) will help you get up to speed quickly and help our trainer deal with some real life examples.

We provide:

  • A PC for hands-on learning during the class
  • Training exercises
  • Advice about how to implement your computerized assessment program

You provide:

Course Content

The course is organized into the following ten modules:

  1. Illustrate the model of the Perception Assessment Management System
  2. Create a repository in Authoring Manager
  3. Develop Topics in Authoring Manager
  4. Create questions in Authoring Manager
  5. Develop assessments in Authoring Manager
  6. Use the Browser-Based Authoring component of Perception v4
  7. Explore the options for securing and controlling assessment development
  8. Explore the functions of system administration within Enterprise Manager
  9. Explore the functions of results management within Enterprise Manager
  10. Create reports in Enterprise Reporter

 

Instructional Strategies
Participants are challenged to execute assessment development tasks using the software. Exercise materials are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own assessment content to the course and may substitute their own projects for the classroom exercises, where applicable.

Each module is comprised of multiple activities, with different activities designed for motivation, comprehension, practice, and application. The exercises have been crafted to reflect authentic assessment-related tasks and contexts.
