Questionmark Wins Connecticut Quality Improvement Award

STAMFORD – July 1, 2003 – Testing and assessment software provider Questionmark of Stamford has been awarded a silver award from the Connecticut Quality Improvement Award (CQIA) Partnership, Inc. for Questionmark Perception Secure Browser.

Questionmark™ Perception™ software gives educators, trainers and managers the ability to create, administer and analyze tests and surveys over the Internet, corporate networks or individual PCs.

Perception Secure Browser (PSB) is similar to any other browser except that all the menus, icons, control keys and the "right-click" options have been removed. It initially links to a specific URL; then navigation is limited to the links from within the web page displayed. PSB stops users from printing out information or copying it into applications to pass onto others. It enables tests to be displayed on a full screen, without the buttons and menu items usually displayed in a browser. It also prevents users from accessing other programs on their PC, blocking access to spreadsheet or calculator programs installed on the PC, or to email during a test.

“Connecticut’s growth depends on innovative organizations,” said Sheila Carmine, executive director of the CQIA Partnership. “Out of the nearly 243,000 businesses in Connecticut, winners of the CQIA Innovation prize represent the creativity, ingenuity and drive that will lead the state’s economic growth.”

About Questionmark:
Founded in 1988, Questionmark has some 1,700 customers worldwide. Users of Questionmark Perception software do not need programming skills. They can create virtually any kind of test or survey, with built-in wizards to incorporate sophisticated features such as up to 20 different question types, feedback based on response and flexible scoring. Tests can also include videos, graphics and other supporting media. Features for protecting data and tester privacy are automatically built in. Applications include diagnostic tests, skills assessments, course evaluations, partner and professional certifications and employee and customer surveys. Complete details can be found at www.questionmark.com.
