STAMFORD, CT – July 1, 2003 – Psychometric consultants and exam developers Mountain Measurement, Inc. and Questionmark™, a leader in testing and assessment software, today announced a partnership to integrate Questionmark™ Perception™ testing and assessment software with Mountain Measurement’s consulting services.

Through the partnership, Mountain Measurement will help clients utilize Perception to create individual assessments as well as complete assessment programs. The company, which specializes in item response theory, computerized adaptive testing, item banking and large-scale testing and certification, will help Perception users improve existing assessments and create new ones.

“We have a great deal of respect for Perception and are impressed with Questionmark’s ‘community of partners’ approach,” commented Mountain Measurement Principal Consultant Dr. Brian Bontempo. “Combining our expertise with Perception’s capabilities makes it possible for us to offer our clients a complete test delivery solution. We can offer Perception to them either as a product that is easy to integrate with their existing systems or as a hosted solution.”

“Our partners provide our customers with solutions that maximize the benefits of using Perception,” commented Questionmark President Eric Shepherd. “We are delighted to have Mountain Measurement join us as a partner whose in-depth knowledge of psychometrics and other aspects of assessment will help our customers produce powerful, legally defensible exams.”
