LearnSomething Partners with Questionmark To Host Online Assessments for Interactive Education Programs

STAMFORD, CT - September 11, 2001 - e-learning company LearnSomething, Inc. today announced a new partnership with Questionmark, makers of testing and assessment software. As an e-learning content developer, LearnSomething will create and host Questionmark Perception™ assessments and incorporate them into interactive training programs for a wide range of clients.

Based in Tallahassee, Florida, LearnSomething specializes in developing, adapting, and delivering interactive training and education programs in a variety of digital formats. The company offers a complete e-learning package that includes converting classroom-based training to the web, developing e-commerce capabilities for clients, and providing the support and infrastructure needed to implement successful programs within corporations, associations and public sector organizations. LearnSomething clients include Kmart, Sonus, Inc. (the largest network of hearing care centers in the United States and Canada), the American Medical Association, McGraw-Hill Publishing, and Darden Restaurants.

"Perception is quickly becoming an integral part of our e-learning programs," said Jon Crumpacker, CEO of LearnSomething. "The software offers great flexibility in developing and integrating assessments that meet our clients' diverse needs and allows us to deliver quality assessments more efficiently than ever."

LearnSomething courses include high levels of multimedia interactivity, incorporating activities such as simulations, animations, and audio/video components that keep users involved and interested. The Perception authoring tool enables course designers to develop quizzes, tests, exams, and surveys for use before, during, and after each e-learning program or course.

"Our customers are looking for results, not just products. Our relationship with LearnSomething provides key consulting services that our customers have been asking for," said Eric Shepherd, President of Questionmark. "We are excited by the opportunity to work closely with LearnSomething to help our customers produce powerful assessments that get results."

About Questionmark and Perception
Questionmark has been producing testing and assessment software since 1988. Perception gives organizations an easy-to-use tool to create and deliver tests, quizzes and surveys on Intranets, the Internet or using Windows PCs. Perception supports a variety of question types, including essay questions, word response, multiple choice and multiple response. Users can create multiple question banks from which to assemble tests and surveys, organizing questions into topics and sub-topics. They can shuffle questions and answers for each participant and preview sessions to see how they will appear post-deployment. They can present questions with videos, graphics and a wide variety of styles. Participants receive feedback as specified by the test author. Answers are saved to a file for scoring and analysis in a variety of report formats.

Businesses, governments, schools, colleges, and universities in more than 45 countries use Questionmark software. Typical applications include exams, quizzes, study aids, diagnostic tests, pre-course skills assessments, and course evaluations. Questionmark is actively involved with the IMS Global Learning Consortium and supports open standards. Visit www.questionmark.com for more information.
