Questionmark Announces Partnership With Learn.net

-- Online Training Provider Will Host Perception Assessments --

ATLANTA (April 16, 2002) - Learn.net, an Atlanta-based online learning management company, today announced a partnership with Questionmark, creators of Questionmark™ Perception™ testing and assessment software.

Learn.net will host Perception assessments in conjunction with its proprietary learning management technology known as the Knowledge Measurement System (KMS), which delivers training curricula tailored to each organizations strategic goals and objectives. The KMS system is the "brain" that powers Learn.net's primary product, the Corporate Learning Solution (CLS); which is customized for organizations with specialized training needs and objectives.

"We share Learn.net's commitment to providing a complete hosted learning solution," said Questionmark president Eric Shepherd. "We are excited about working with the Learn.net team to make it easy for organizations to deploy effective online assessments as an integral part of their e-learning programs."

Learn.net implementation teams help clients conduct a needs analysis, and based on the results, assist in crafting a curriculum tailored specifically for each client. The curriculum typically consists of a blend of the 3,500 standard courses available from Learn.net's content provider partners, courses created by Learn.net's instructional designers, and courses devised by the clients themselves.

In addition to extensive coursework for students, KMS gives managers ready access to results so they can track each student's progress and tweak course offerings in response to student performance and how that performance is translating into job productivity.

"The combination of KMS and Perception enables our customers to leverage their internal knowledge and validate the effectiveness of the organizations' training programs," said Jack Miller, chief operating officer of Learn.net. "We believe that the long-term synergies that have developed between Learn.net and Questionmark will provide our customers with powerful solutions to improve the efficiency of their training programs."

These management features allow Learn.net clients to assemble all employee training information in a single database, solving a significant problem for corporations. A real-time, central database of training information also arms CFOs with a precise tool for calculating return on training investment.

Through the alliance, the two companies will make their products interoperable, using emerging industry standard specifications as defined in the AICC and the IMS.

About Questionmark:
Questionmark has been producing testing and assessment software since 1988. Perception allows people to create question files without programming experience or knowledge of HTML. Users can create multiple question banks from which to assemble tests and surveys, organizing questions into topics and sub-topics. They can shuffle questions and answers for each participant and preview sessions to see how they will appear post-deployment. They can present questions with videos, graphics and a wide variety of styles. Participants receive feedback as specified by the test author. Answers are saved to a file for scoring and analysis in a variety of report formats.

Businesses, governments, schools, colleges, and universities in more than 50 countries use Questionmark software. Questionmark has more than 1,100 customers using Perception, with approximately 9,000 authoring systems installed, and systems shipped have been configured with approximately 3,000,000 participants. Typical applications include exams, quizzes, study aids, diagnostic tests, pre-course skills assessments, and course evaluations. Questionmark is actively involved with the IMS Global Learning Consortium and supports open standards. Visit www.questionmark.com for more information.
