Questionmark Partners with Electronic Portfolio Leader ePortaro, Inc.

Anaheim, CA , Stamford, CT and Herndon, VA – November 4, 2003 – The leading vendor in the rapidly developing electronic portfolio market, ePortaro, Inc. and Questionmark™, the leader in testing and assessment software, today announced a partnership at Educause to integrate Questionmark™ Perception™ testing and assessment software with Folio by ePortaro™.

The integration will be built by ePortaro and will provide ePortaro clients with the opportunity to make use of the powerful Perception evaluation and assessment tools as a part of their electronic portfolio environment. Faculty and other evaluators will be able to provide sophisticated assessments of students’ knowledge, skills and aptitudes and post these to portfolios for review by third parties of the students’ choosing. Further, students and instructors will be able to easily post the results of Perception tests and assessments to any of their portfolios.

Questionmark clients will be able to take advantage of robust electronic portfolio technologies to archive and categorize their assessments and assessment results relating them to other learning artifacts like assignments, achievements, and grades for collaboration and reflection. In addition, Questionmark students will now be able to demonstrate longitudinal improvement in their performance as they grow, learn, achieve, and attain new skills and competencies. Questionmark clients will have the opportunity to implement full portfolio functionality of the Folio product at reduced cost.

“We are delighted to form this alliance with Questionmark, the leader in testing and assessment software for colleges, universities and the commercial training sector", said Joseph A. Chalmers, president of ePortaro. “This relationship will provide our clients with yet another way to expand the value of their electronic portfolio programs.”

“Portfolios are becoming an important part of academic life,” commented Questionmark President Eric Shepherd. “We are very pleased to have ePortaro join us as a partner whose highly configurable portfolio solution will bring substantial new benefits to our clients.”
