Questionmark Partners with The Donath Group, Inc

STAMFORD, CT - May 13, 2002 - Questionmark and test development specialists The Donath Group, Inc. today announced a partnership to integrate Questionmark™ Perception™ testing and assessment software with The Donath Group's consulting and evaluation services.

The Donath Group worked with Questionmark to host a technical review assessment for Macromedia for their new Macromedia Flash MX Designer certification examination. Donath managed the test development process to ensure that the content of the questions matched the test objectives and provided psychometric reviews of the questions. Participants received instant feedback on assessment performance and supplied technical review comments to help improve the quality of the examination.

"Questionmark's high level customer support was impressive," said The Donath Group President Cliff Donath. "The Perception software provided the tools we needed to expedite the process and meet our objectives. We were able to quickly move our draft examination questions from an industry standard format to Perception to conduct this very important technical review that allowed us to assess the quality of the test questions and validate test score interpretations. Questionmark hosted the delivery of the evaluation flawlessly for us. We were able to get over 130 reviewers from 22 different countries around the world to help us in a two-day review. This was an enormous benefit in shortening our development cycle for final examination publication."
"Macromedia constantly works to make software products that not only meet but exceed the expectations of our users, so it is critical that we do research within our user base to make sure we are achieving that goal," said Niamh O'Byrne, certification program manager, Macromedia. "The combination of Questionmark's software with The Donath Group's services are a real benefit to our research."

Said Questionmark President Eric Shepherd: "By providing a hosting service for our customers, we can help them deploy assessment programs quickly and easily. We are delighted to work with The Donath Group to provide practical solutions for organizations that need to deploy scalable, effective assessment programs."

About Questionmark:
Questionmark has been producing testing and assessment software since 1988. Questionmark Perception allows people to create question files without programming experience. Users can categorize their question banks into topics and sub-topics from which to assemble tests and surveys. They can shuffle questions and answers for each participant and preview assessments to see how they will appear post-deployment. They can present questions with videos, graphics and a wide variety of styles. Participants receive feedback as specified by the author. Answers are saved to an encrypted file for scoring and analysis in a variety of report formats.

Businesses, governments, schools, colleges, and universities in more than 50 countries use Questionmark software. Questionmark has more than 1,200 customers using Perception, with approximately 9,000 authoring systems installed, and systems shipped have been configured with approximately 3,000,000 participants. Typical applications include exams, quizzes, study aids, diagnostic tests, pre-course skills assessments, and course evaluations. Questionmark is actively involved with the IMS Global Learning Consortium and supports open standards. Visit www.questionmark.com for more information.
