Question Mark Adds Assessment to Bank's e-Learning Network AMSTERDAM - June 28, 2001 - Question Mark's Perception software has been chosen to provide online assessments and reporting data for Dutch bank ABN Amro's new intranet-based training solutions network. Perception will be used in conjunction with the Saba e-learning management system (www.saba.com). Question Mark's Dutch distributor, Stoas, has supplied the software to ABN Amro. ABN Amro is a prominent banking group - ranked fifth in Europe and sixteenth in the world on tier 1 capital, with over 3,500 branches, a staff of some 110,000 and total assets of EUR 533.3 billion. Question Mark Perception enables trainers to write, administer and report on assessments via PCs, local area networks, the Internet and intranets. It includes comprehensive security functions and a wide-ranging reporting system to analyse assessment results. ABN Amro will use Perception to deliver assessments for pre and post testing on its recently formed Integrated Training & Learning Network (ITN) in the Netherlands. ITN will integrate Perception assessments with competency profiles, learning content and course enrolment. Following a successful trial, Perception may be rolled out to other ABN Amro offices. ABN Amro ITN Content Manager Henry Molenaar explains: "Ultimately we expect that the ITN will become the learning management forum for ABN Amro employees on a much wider basis, providing a complete environment to run courses and assessments. By running ITN across the company intranet, we are enabling our employees to take responsibility for their own learning process in an efficient, simple and economical way. Perception was the ideal solution for the assessment function because it offers all the functionality we need together with the ability to integrate seamlessly with our e-learning platform software. " "We are delighted that ABN Amro has chosen to integrate Perception with Saba to create this 'best of breed' system for its new training network," says Question Mark Managing Director John Kleeman. "Both Saba and Perception are AICC certified, which means that assessments can be fired directly from within the learning management system (LMS). Likewise the results can also be incorporated back into the LMS's database to enable new training events to be 'fired' and a comprehensive record of achievement to be built."
