Step-by-Step Tutorial: Authoring a Simple Quiz in Perception™

Part 4: Organizing Questions into Assessments

Create Assessment Folder, Lauch Assessment Wizard

Next we will organize the five questions you just authored into an assessment.

  • Create an assessment folder called Memphis Trivia
  • Open the folder
  • Click on “Assessments” > “Add Assessment”

  • The “Assessment Wizard launches
    • Give your assessment a meaningful name.
    • Identify the “type” of assessment you are creating as “Quiz”
Note: The “type of assessment” impacts the behavior of the assessment and the rules for how a participant may access it. Click through the different choices in this window for a description of each type of assessment.
    • OPTIONAL: Enter an “Assessment Description”

Add Questions to the Assessment

Now it’s time to add questions to the assessment.  Click “Add”

Choose to add “All from topic”

Note: “Randomly from topic” is ideal for quizzes in which you want to draw a few questions at random from a topic with many questions. “Single question” is a good option when you want to pick specific questions from a topic, or have more control over the order in which they are presented to the participant.

a. Select the Topic folder with your questions
b. Click “Insert”
