Title:
Integrating Questionmark with Plateau LMS and Lessons Learned

Synopsis:
Intermountain Healthcare just completed our first year using Plateau as our LMS. During the year we needed to integrate our Questionmark installation with Plateau. The challenges we faced included getting the two systems to talk to one another, providing access to assessments outside the firewall using the open access, and looking at better ways to integrate our content and assessments.

Because of this integration we were forced to look at how we created assessments with the intention of making them more efficiently gather information about the effectiveness of our training programs. This, in turn, helped our users to rely on the reporting of assessments. Each thing we did helped to more fully use the capabilities of Perception in our overall educational processes. More departments and people saw Questionmark as a learning tool, rather than a "check-mark." They also realized that they could use Perception for surveys, an application that has spread throughout the corporation. Some departments have also started using pre-tests to help tailor training to the needs of employees.

Objectives:

  • See that simple integration with Plateau LMS is easy
  • Understand that more complex integration takes a little more work, but is not impossible
  • Learn how Intermountain has evolved in its use of Perception
