| The accreditation process is critical for institutions in developing and sustaining effective educational programs and assures the educational community, the general public, and other organizations that an institution has met high standards of quality and effectiveness. To receive accreditation, an institution must track objective, measurable proof that students are accomplishing pre-set objectives.
"Learning isn’t just about giving students’ grades,” said The Master’s College Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. John Hughes. “And accreditation isn’t about the number of A’s and B’s earned. It is important for us to measure year-over-year learning progress to better understand our strengths, as well as areas that we can improve.”
Historically, measuring student learning outcomes has been difficult for institutions. By integrating the SCT PowerCAMPUS administrative system with the Questionmark Perception assessment management system, The Master’s College is better able to use online exam technologies and capture a history of hard test data that can be analyzed to show progress over time. |
