LONDON – June 21, 2007 – Questionmark, a leading provider of testing and assessment software, today announced the agenda for its third annual Academic Symposium. The Symposium, to be held July 9th at Burleigh Court in Loughborough, provides educators the opportunity to explore current issues and future trends in computerised assessment.

The symposium will bring together academic faculty and staff to:

  • meet and learn from Questionmark technical staff;
  • network with other educators;
  • learn from case study presentations by fellow academics;
  • see the latest Questionmark™ Perception™ features including new reports, printing and scanning, and expanded delivery options;
  • preview many improvements that will benefit academic users of Perception;
  • voice opinions and influence future product development

The symposium will include cases studies, product training with Questionmark technical support staff, and is an outstanding professional development opportunity for Perception users. Held the day before the CAA conference, the symposium is the perfect way for educators attending the conference to start their week.

Guest speakers will include Debbie Reid from Nottingham University and Tim Ellis from Lancaster University.  Debbie Reid will explore the process of implementing Questionmark Perception for summative assessments, focusing on their recently implemented pilot program, while Tim Ellis will share the process and results of their automated module evaluation system. Both presentations will give academics the opportunity to gain insight into best practices and lessons learned about the use of online surveys, quizzes, tests and exams.

Complete information about the symposium, which is open to all academics, is available at www.questionmark.com/go/symposium
