Perception receives AICC certification
Questionmark Perception, the world’s most popular online testing and assessment software suite, has been certified by the Aviation Industry CBT Committee (AICC) as compliant with AGR 010, the AICC’s new guideline for web based computer managed instruction systems.
Questionmark Perception enables educators and trainers to write, deliver and report on tests and assessments for secure deployment on the Internet and intranets. The software can be used for both pre- and post-course training needs analysis and is widely deployed in business and education as a formative and self-assessment tool.
By meeting the AICC Computer Managed Instruction (CMI) web based specification for systems for managing student access to learning content and tracking results, Questionmark Perception has demonstrated that it can communicate test data to other certified software administration and courseware solutions, regardless of vendor. Learning management systems can be made to ‘fire’ Perception tests and assessments online. The results can then be directed to populate the management systems own databases. Alternatively, conditional responses can be created that activate other web course activities.
Explained Questionmark managing director John Kleeman, “Questionmark is currently in the process of building firmer ‘business’ links with other organisations offering relevant AICC compliant software. Our aim is to give users the easiest possible path to enable them to build their own ‘best-of-breed’ online training and education solutions. The broad acceptance of AICC compliance will mean that users can now choose these solutions with complete confidence.”
William A. McDonald, Chairman of the AICC Independent Test Lab Committee, said "Questionmark Computing is one of the first organisations to pass Web Based AICC/CMI certification test. It is certainly the first UK based organisation to win the accolade. As such, it has clearly demonstrated its commitment to interoperability on the web and its claim to be an industry leader"
