Title: Using Save as you Go? Technical and other security aspects of test taking.

Synopsis: In the regular practice of high stake test taking there is always a risk of disturbance of the test taking process by a crash of the client machine or an interruption of the server connection.

The “Save as you Go”-option (SayG) is one of the options you can choose for within the application. It will give you the opportunity to resume the test later on and not losing the answers which had been answered already. In this presentation we will show how you can prepare the best for this kind of ‘crashes’ and which are the possible ways to act before and after the test taking has been disturbed.

One of the measures is having the awareness of and choosing for the right settings on server and assessment level. Other aspects are using a distinct emergency plan and having a right expectation about the possible output after “things went wrong”.
