Title: Using Questionmark to create and mark paper-based exams

Synopsis: This case study demonstrates how Questionmark Live, Authoring manager and Remark OMR scanning software can be combined to create and mark paper-based exams using a bubble sheet format. It provides an example of how multiple authors can collaborate in this process and the workflow required to manage this type of assessment construction. It provides an insight into both the successes and failures that can occur and discusses the question of whether this style of exam creation is more time-efficient than traditional types of exam.

Learning Objectives:

  • Know more about the technical aspects of creating paper-based exams for online marking
  • See an example of multiple authors collaborating
  • Have an insight into the workflow required when creating paper-based/computer marked exams.
