Moving from Ad-hoc Measurement to Assessments Aligned with Organisational Goals: A Model for Gauging Assessment Maturity

Synopsis:
Learning Design and Assessment principles and practices are well understood and well documented (e.g. Security, Validity and Reliability). The Assessment Maturity Model addresses the challenge of successfully deploying assessments throughout an organisation and/or beyond an organisation consistently, predictably, cost effectively, efficiently, and reliably. How can organisations create and maintain assessment programs that have clear objectives and achieve them by:

• Gathering the right data by asking the right questions;
• Analysing that data correctly; and
• Presenting useful, actionable, reports to the right people at the right time

While every organisation has unique requirements, there are some common requirements that could be described and explained to assist with the overall effort of deploying assessments successfully. This is the goal of the Assessment Maturity Model.

This interactive session will provide an overview of the Assessment Maturity Model and invite discussion and debate on its attributes.
