This Knowledge Base article describes how to set up Perception so that assessments can be called by a Learning Management System (LMS) or other program, using ADL SCORM.

Overview of SCORM
The Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) is a mechanism produced by the Advanced Distributed Learning organization (ADL) to allow the sharing of assessment content by using a defined data model and runtime environment. In SCORM terms, a Perception assessment is a Sharable Content Object (SCO) that can be launched from an LMS.
Perception assessments can be delivered using SCORM version 1.2 or the later SCORM 2004.
You can use the Automatic Restart function with SCORM assessments, so that if a participant loses a connection or otherwise stops the assessment, they can restart it. You can enable the Automatic Restart function in Enterprise Manager | Administration | Server Management | Server Settings | Settings section.
If you enable SCORM support, there is some loss of security. For more information, please refer to the Security Issues section in the relevant document.
SCORM and PENS (Package Exchange Notification Services) are independant standards, but if the LMS (Learning Management System) you are using supports PENS, then Publish To LMS can be used to copy SCORM Content Packages to the LMS.
The basic principle of Perception working with SCORM is that you create a Content Package as a zip file and upload it to the LMS. You then set up in the LMS for participants to be able to take the assessment as directed by the LMS.
Using Perception with SCORM
Different versions of SCORM will work with different versions of Perception. Refer to the table below for information on their compatibility:
