Check your system meets the minimum requirements

Refer to System Requirements for more information about the requirements of the Results Management System

Set-up the database servers

Ensure that the appropriate database tasks have been completed

• Create an SQL Server database user for RMS after the install program has created the RMS database

• Create an Oracle Tablespace and User before the install program is run

Run the RMS install program

The type of environment that the RMS is being installed to will dictate how the Installation program should be used. Installing the RMS may include:

• Installing the RMS on a single Server

• Installing RMS on the same server as Perception

• Using the RMS Configuration Application

Install a license

Refer to Licensing the RMS for instructions

Verify your installation

Refer to Verifying your RMS installation for instructions

Setting the advanced installation and configuration options of the RMS (optional)

If using the RMS in certain conditions you may need to:

• Install the RMS components on multiple servers

• Start the RMS Import Service manually

• Enable logging in the RMS

• Use the RMS behind a Firewall

• Add Web shares manually

• Configure the RMS to use SSL
