Starting the Import Service manually

When installing the RMS Import Service the Import Service should start automatically. If this has not happened or the Current Perception repository has been changed in the Configuration Application the Import Service will need to be restarted manually. To do this:

  1. Log in as an Administrative user to the server hosting the Import Service. This may be installed on a separate machine to the other RMS components

  2. Open the Administrative Tools folder from the Control Panel

  3. Double-click Services

  4. Right Click on the Questionmark RMS Data Import Service item and select Properties

  1. Ensure that the Startup type is set to Automatic

  2. Click Start to start the service

  1. Click the Log On tab

  2. Select Local System Account

  1. Click OK to close the service properties
